Employment Options leader earns honor
Marlborough - Members and staff of Marlborough-based Employment
Options Inc. filed in to hail the agency's Executive Director Toni
Wolf, Feb. 18, as she was presented with an award "to celebrate
her vision and dedication to the agency and its people" by
the United Way of Tri-County during the United Way's 2nd Annual
Women's Leadership Fund-raising Luncheon: "Honoring Women of
Vision," at the Wyndham Hotel in Westborough.
Wolf has led the agency that serves people with mental illness
and/or low income for the past 15 years. Her service to members
has been widely recognized, including a top honor she received in
May 2004 when she was presented with an award that recognizes leaders
in the field of psychosocial rehabilitation from the International
Association of Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services.
In a Feb. 11 Employment Options press release, United Way President
and CPO Paul L. Mina wrote, "Toni Wolf has been an outstanding
leader in our region for many years. Her commitment to helping those
in need is well known. The United Way of Tri-County is honored to
recognize her as a 'woman of vision' for 2005."
Anupa Shah, marketing and employment manager at Employment Options,
has witnessed Wolf's leadership.
"Our agency is continuously striving to provide new and improved
services to its population," she said. "Toni's vision
to substantiate these services, whether it is through new funding
sources or alliances, has really moved the agency forward. I speak
on behalf of all members and staff when I say that it is great to
see that the community, too, is rewarding her vision, and in turn
the agency's efforts to provide services that truly change people's
lives."
In the Employment Options press release, Wolf expressed appreciation
for the United Way of Tri-County's recent pledge of $45,000 towards
Employment Options' capital campaign.
"We have been funded in the past by the United Way, and it
has helped us further our services tremendously," she was quoted.
"We hope to do the same with this pledge, and hope our relationship
with the United Way continues to grow."
Employment Options continues to seek supporters like the United
Way in order to sustain its service delivery. Individuals, businesses
and organizations are invited to sign on as a fiscal friend of the
group. For more information about Toni Wolf and Employment Options,
