Family Initiatives
The majority of adults with mental illness are parents. They share the joys and concerns of all parents, in addition to the specific challenges of parenting within the context of a mental illness. Family Initiatives at Employment Options offers a continuum of programs for custodial and non-custodial parents. The Family Initiatives programs are based on the belief that adults with mental illness want to be the best parents they can be, and that parenting is a central and important part of recovery. The Family Initiatives programs are developed and designed to reflect the strengths, and address the needs of parents in recovery and their children.
